Withdrawal of BT internet directory enquiries service

Telephone

The BT.com site has a facility called 'Phone Book' which has been used over a long period of time by DCC staff when searching for telephone numbers. Previously, BT did not charge for this service.

BT have now served notice that they propose to charge an annual licence fee for this service.

It has been decided that there is no value in subscribing to the BT phone book and so this facility will be withdrawn on 30 April 2007.

Please note that there are alternative free sites such as "Yell.com" (please see link on the right for details) that can be used to search for business addresses, contact details and location information.
